Noticeboard

To prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVD-19), we are  moving all requests for appointments to a telephone triage system. Please ring us between 08:20 -10:00 am if you need medical advice for acute conditions. After the doctors call, patients who need to be seen in person will be given a face to face appointment at a local hub within Redditch area. Please be advised routine appointments will take longer to address while we deal with the current situation.

Alongside telephone, video, face to face appointment we now have online consultations.

This health advice can be accessed either via https://www.online-consult.co.uk/org/the-ridgeway-surgery

Or for patients who have an online access, can access it via the "health advice" tab.

UPDATE TO OUR PRESCRIPTION COLLECTION TIME

From Monday 23rd March

Patients needing to collect routine regular medications from dispensary will be able to collect between the hours of 12pm – 2pm

Please allow at least three days to process your request.

Face Mask exemption:

GP’s are not required or in a position to provide exemption letters for patients who believe they should be exempt from wearing a face covering.

The current guidance suggests there is no requirement for the public to provide medical evidence for exemption from wearing face masks therefore a self- declaration should be sufficient.

Please go to the GOV.UK link below for more information on the use of face coverings.   https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-how-to-make-your-own

If you are suspicious, do not give any details over the phone, hang up and then ring your GP Practice to confirm.

Sick Note Requests - If your employer is requesting a sick note and you are currently self-isolating, please print a copy of the letter below for your employer.
